The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System (ICS) has produced the following documents to support head teachers, principals, and safeguarding leads in schools, colleges, and other education settings across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. The guidance sets out the immediate actions to take following a suspected suicide involving a child, alongside advice on ongoing support and effective communications. It also includes a summarised protocol for responding to the suspected death by suicide of a child or young person. In addition, a resource document is provided to support suicide prevention within education settings.
